Hallucinogenics and Autism

Andrea Axt, PhD

There exists a similarity between some compounds found in certain plants and certain endogenous  compounds found in the brains of human beings. Not only  are they similar in  chemical structures but also in the hallucinogenic  effects they have on human beings. ( see picture 1)

To such chemical compounds (which are mainly O or N methylated biogenic amino substances) belong for example: DMT, Bufotenine and as I postulated  and proved also hallucinogenic 10 or 6 methoxyharmalan- so called McIsaac’s compound. McIsaac’s compound can be created in autistic (ASD) individuals from or instead of melatonin. The presence of hallucinogenic McIsaac’s compound was found in 120 urine samples of children diagnosed with autism and published in our article. (6,2   ) 10 methoxyharmalan-McIsaac’s compound, has been described as a product of cyclic dehydration of melatonin(see illustration 2) Dr. Rick Strassman describes in his book  DMT -The Spirit molecule, a Cellular Security System existing around the pineal gland which serves as a shield inhibiting the production of DMT. He proved that the pineal defense shield can be overridden by extreme stress and trauma. (8)

I propose that the same process is in place for the creation of hallucinogenic McIsaac’s compound. I postulate that strong physical and emotional traumas during the gestation period, birth, and later, such as mothers’ and babies’ emotional shocks, pesticides, fluoride’s, vaccination, and the ever now increasing presence of electromagnetic fields from Wi-Fi, tablets, cell phones, etc., can override the pineal defense shield, especially in sensitive traumatized individuals. The presences of small crystals of calcite with piezo electric properties in the pineal gland, has been proven (3  ). This would affect individuals sensitive to electromagnetic fields (EMF).

My further research will concentrate on methods of inhibition, of the creation of excessive pineal harmalan/McIsaac’s compound, which I postulate, can be responsible for many of the traits of autism. Further research will concentrate on some of the following:

  1. Methods of decreasing the number of methyl groups in the hallucinogenic substances created in the pineal gland, which will render them non-hallucinogenic (based on the work of Hoffer and Osmond, and others (4,5). Using niacin, nicotinic acid—vitamin B3, as having affinity for methyl groups.
  2. Researching the use of choline substances as protection from toxic action of tryptophane (5).
  3. The use of homeopathic 10 methoxyharmalan-McIsaac’s drops, which under the direction of Julia Bronfman, naturopath and homeopath, has already led to good results in many children with autism.
  4. The use of Craniosacral therapy, Polarity, and other therapies, to balance the Pineal gland.(1).
  5. Avoidance and protection from the disturbing electromagnetic fields, which I postulate, among others, can account for the huge increase in the occurrence of autism.
